SCARAB GT Day 2: Game 5 and Closing Thoughts

For my fifth and final game at the SCARAB GT, I was matched up against Steve and his Flying Circus Daemons. The mission was an inverse of Game 3, with Big Guns as the Primary and Relic as the secondary with Vanguard deployment. And interestingly, I was on the same table as for Game 3. Steve's list was roughly the following:

Continuing right along, after two victories helped in large part to my opponents' dice hating them in Game 2 and Game 3, Day 2 saw me matched up against Trey and his Necrons with Chaos Space Marine allies. His list was roughly:

SCARAB GT: Day 1, Game 3 - Tyranids vs. Farsight with Tau

After winning Game 2, I was faced up against Adam and his Farsight Enclaves with Tau Allies to finish the day. The mission was The Relic Primary (4pts), Big Guns Never Tire secondary (3pts), with Vanguard deployment.

SCARAB GT: Day 1, Game 2 - Tyranids vs. Imperial Guard with Inquisitor and Space Wolves

After my loss to Josh in Game 1, my second game was against Talon and his Imperial Guard. The mission was The Scouring primary and Purge the Alien secondary on Hammer and Anvil deployment. Talon's list had an Inquisitor warlord and Space Wolf allies with two rune priests and some grey hunters in a pod:

SCARAB GT: Day 1, Game 1 - Tyranids vs. Taudar

Last weekend I had the pleasure of attending the SCARAB GT in Columbia, SC. I found out about the event through Neil and The 11th Company Podcast. It was a little bit of a drive, but nothing unfeasible. I made it to the hotel a little before midnight and did some finishing touches on the bases of my airbrushed Flyrant and Tervigon. First thing Saturday morning I headed down to the convention center and unpacked.

SCARAB GT: Initial Reaction and Thoughts

I had the pleasure of attending the SCARAB GT this past weekend. It was about the same distance drive as NOVA for me, and I'm really glad I decided to make the trip. I brought my Tyranids, partly in the hope that I would be the only one to do so and get best in Codex (which went to Cory, who has an awesome Doom he sculpted from scratch).

Preparing for the SCARAB GT hosted by the 11th Company

As the title suggests, I will be attending the SCARAB GT in January. The guys from The 11th Company podcast are hosting and publicizing the event. Due to an apparent lack of knowledge of South Carolina geography, I was very surprised to see that this wasn't much farther than I traveled for NOVA. Being a Staurday/Sunday event, I could even attend without needing to take time off, so that's a bonus.
