9th Ed GT Missions Breakdown - Secondaries

Greetings, all! Today I'm going to break down the Secondary missions from the 9th Ed GT pack and give my initial impressions. Biggest caveat being, this is nearly all theoretical at this point, so take my conclusions with a grain of salt.

Grand Tournament 2020 Chapter Approved 2020 Mission Pack ...

Just at face value, I want to start by focusing on the Secondaries. The Primary mission is essentially the same for all missions, with a couple wrinkles thrown in here and there. The strategy for the Primary boils down to "hold at least two objectives to start each of your turns." However, the Secondary objectives add up to half your possible score, and there are a bunch to choose from.

Facing The Grey Tide Podcast - Episode 75: The 2018 Renegade Recap

What is up Everyone? In this episode, Chandler and Bryan sit down with Paul and David from the Renegade Open to do a recap of the 2018 Renegade Open.  Bryan runs down his successes and failures at both the Beerhammer event and the GT.  Paul and David go through the winners, the events outside of 40k, and talk about some of the success that they had from the event.  The guys also break down some of the changes that will be happening in 2019 as the have a Spring tournament, the Spring Conflagration (which will be May 18-19, of 2019).  They also talk about the fact that the Conflagration will be used as testing ground for the Renegade Open 2019 missions. Since this will be at the Midwest Comicon, there is more than just 40k at this cool event.  Finally the guys throw in some wisdom about lessons learned on the table, things to consider when trying to improve, and how to really know if your deployment screwed you.

Paul and David always bring the noise, even without a megaphone.

SpikeyCon 2014, part 1

We just got back from a great weekend at FTW Games in Richmond, celebrating the store's birthday at SpikeyCon. To begin, if you are remotely in the area of Richmond, VA, I cannot recommend the store enough, Rob has put together a store with great people, great tables and terrain available for gaming, regular events, plenty of products for your hobby of choice, and generally a utopia of gaming, so check it out. It's over a three hour drive for Chandler and I, but well worth it.
