What is up Everyone? This week on the Podcast, Evan, Ron, Bryan, and Chandler answer some fan emails and break down their thoughts about the Las Vegas Open, or LVO.  The Podcast starts off with some bold predictions, some overall thoughts on the Tournament, and also kind of the state of the ITC and some lists that they expect.  In addition, James and Geoff get their questions answered about how to try to beat Grey Knights with Nidzilla style lists, how to run Mephiston in a solely Blood Angels force, and then the biggest question of all; how can you get out of a 40k rut.

LVO Predictions

Starting tomorrow is the third annual Las Vegas Open, which includes the biggest 40k Singles event in the world, with over 300 players registered. This high profile event has become the cornerstone of the ITC and serves as the final event in the year long ITC Season, where a winner will be crowned and receive a cash prize; last year's winner, Paul McKelvey, received a check for $2,000 for winning the 2014 ITC season.

In honor of the largest 40k event in the world, I'm going to make an almost entirely unsupported and likely biased stab at predicting the winners and armies that have the best shot at winning this absolutely massive event. The odds are definitely against me; last year, Sean Nayden won with the highly surprising Lictorshame Tyranids list. I won't be predicting a repeat of Tyranids at the top.

NOVA Bound 2016 - Early List Building

With NOVA passes going on sale last night, it's already that time of year to start thinking about what I will be taking and what events I will participate in. I haven't totally committed yet, but I'm fully expecting to play in the 40k GT again this year; who knows what the meta landscape will be like in 7 months' time, but at least for now I can start building my plan.

Facing the Grey Tide Podcast - Episode 34: Julio is in the House

What is up Everyone? This week on the Podcast, Ron, Bryan, and Chandler are joined by Julio as they run down his recent success (aka 1st Place) at the Butchers of Bakersfield ITC Tournament.  Julio comes in with a very stout ITC list and we talk about the list, the opponents, and some of the crazy things that happen during the tournament.  Julio also describes how the ITC tournament scoring works, how the missions were setup, and what he is planning for the greatness of the LVO.

Julio represents the NWO and gives us a little help when facing the ITC.

Malifaux Starter Set Review and Painted

A few months back I picked up the Malifaux Starter box, with the intention of using it as a nice way to introduce the game to friends. I've since assembled and painted the eight models that come with it, and run through the introduction missions with Chris and Chandler.

2015 In Review and 2016 Resolutions

Happy New Year! In the lull around holidays, and awaiting the imminent arrival of my first child, I thought I would review the last year and revisit my Hobby Resolutions from the past year, and outline some new ones or updates for 2016.
