Facing The Grey Tide Podcast - Episode 45: Genestealer Cult Review with Heroic Intervention
What is up Everyone? This week on the Podcast, Chandler, Bryan, and Evan come together with Andrew and Chad from the Heroic Intervention Podcast to give the most in-depth Codex review for the Genestealer Cult. We dive into everything from Winners to Winners to the couple of losers from this Codex. We talk about some of the initial lists, some of the initial controversy with some of the rules, and have a good time connecting with another member of the Greater Hive Mind and his Dark Eldar Brother. It is probably the most comprehensive podcast we have ever given for a Codex.

Review: Gamemat.eu G-Mats
In recent posts, you may or may not have noticed some new gaming mats appearing on our tables. I recently acquired three G-Mats from Gamemat.eu, and after having played a few games on them, wanted to write up a review.

White Dwarf 60 First Look: Khorne Codex

White Dwarf 52: The Tomb Worlds Awaken
The official announcement of the Necron release is here this week, and with it, some interesting hints and changes to how the Necrons work as an army.
With the new rules come a new Overlord model as well as a Special Edition codex that includes 2 sided print outs of the datasheets for each unit, extremely reminiscent of Second Edition and Dark Millenium for those with long enough memories.

Shield of Baal: Deathstorm Units First Look
Some lucky hobbyists have gotten copies of Shield of Baal Deathstorm already and shared the special rules for the units included. As with Stormclaw, the units have set equipment, but some get some pretty cool bonus special rules to counterbalance.

Shield of Baal: Leviathan Fluff Book Review
I wrapped up reading through the fluff book and enjoyed it immensely. The visuals are very high quality, both original artwork and diorama/showcases for new models. I will talk about how things go in the story line, so Spoiler Alert below the bump.

Shield of Baal: Leviathan Review: Cities of Death and Death from the Skies
I was lucky enough to pick up my copy of Shield of Baal: Leviathan today and have taken a quick look at the Rules book, particularly skimming through the Cities of Death and Death from the Skies rules.

White Dwarf 42 First Look
This week's White Dwarf features the new Tyranid dual kit of the Zoanthropes and Venomthropes. The kit includes the leaked rules and background for the more or less replacement for the Doom of Malan'tai, the Neurothrope. Additionally, this issue announces the upcoming 40k Campaign, the Shield of Baal.

White Dwarf 39 First Look
It's been a few weeks, but we picked up this week's White Dwarf and I thought I'd do a quick first look. This week's cover features the new massive mini for the End Times series, the Glottkin.

Codex: Dark Eldar First Look Review
The new Dark Eldar book is out, and while the internet rumbling seemed pretty negative and hopeless, I'm still pretty excited about the new book. I'm not going to say they're a new powerhouse or anything yet, but they still have wonderful models and a sinister feel.
For now, let's look at the rules, since that's what we're all curious about. I'll go through the units and then look at wargear and army special rules.

White Dwarf 35: The Dark Kin Rise
It's been a few weeks, but I'm back with our White Dwarf first look. This week is the second week of the releases for Dark Eldar, and includes the codex (and special editions).
This week's releases include the Dark Eldar codex and two special editions, the featured Voidraven Bomber, two new combination kits of a Raider and either Wyches or Warriors, Dark Eldar Datacards, and a Dark Eldar Painting Guide.

Codex: Grey Knights First Look Review
What's up everyone? Chandler here with another review, and this time, it is Chapter 666, The Grey Knights. This is a Codex surprise in a way. Only two weeks out from Codex: Space Wolves, and we have our next 7th edition book. This is awesome, and with the new dataslate out earlier today, the Knights are on the move, looking for Demons.
So without further interruption: I give you Codex: Grey Knights.

Officio Assassinorum Dataslate First Look
Now that Assassins are no longer in the Grey Knights Codex (that review coming soon), they instead are included in their own dataslate, opening them up to be taken in just about any army.
White Dwarf #30: NAGASH RISES
This week's White Dwarf has arrived, featuring the super awesome new Nagash min. This monster is no joke, and is just a gorgeous sculpt that will tempt many a collector (this one included).

Champions of Fenris Space Wolf Supplement First Look
Last weekend saw the release of the Space Wolf Supplement - Champions of Fenris. Chandler will probably do a complete treatment of the book, including fluff and everything it entails. I'll just take a quick look at the new rules that come with the supplement.

White Dwarf #29 - Grey Knights
This week's White Dwarf has arrived, and it features the somewhat surprise codex release of Grey Knights. For August at least, Games Workshop is ramping up the already frantic rules release schedule, giving us a second codex this month.
In the teaser blurb, it is hinted that the mysterious past of the Grey Knights will be at least partially revealed as tying back to their founding during the Horus Heresy. The promise of possibly linking up with the Garro series has me at least intrigued from a fluff perspective.

White Dwarf #28 - The Wolf King Rides
This week's White Dwarf continues the cavalcade of Space Wolves, featuring the big, bad Wolf himself, Logan Grimnar
In addition to plenty of glamour shots of the head wolf on his pimp sled, he also is the focus of the Space Wolf Supplement, Champions of Fenris, which features additional equipment and seven formations, in the same style as Waaagh! Ghazghkull.

Know No Fear (Horus Heresy Book 19) Review
Next up in the Horus Heresy Review Series is Know No Fear, by Dan Abnett. As the subtitle suggests, this story centers around the battle of Calth, where the Ultramarines are attacked by the Word Bearers. As always, potential spoilers ahead.
If I were to summarize the story, it would boil down to "don't piss off Ultramarines." There are plenty of badass moments for the Ultramarines, including Guilliman hanging out in space without a helmet for a while.
